ARRO Adds Engineer to Growing Firm

Hagerstown, Md. (Sept. 22, 2008) — ARRO, a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm with eight offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland, announced that Robert F. Barrick has joined the company as an engineer III with the Hagerstown, Md., office.
robert_barrick.jpgIn his new position with ARRO, Barrick will be responsible for preparing plans and technical specifications related to public works projects including roads, parks and recreation, sidewalks, and water and sewer improvements. He will prepare technical reports and studies related to infrastructure improvements to include development of alternatives, comparisons for alternatives, capital and operating cost opinions, and recommendations. Barrick will also assist with construction projects and provide engineering oversight and/or periodic field inspections.

In his previous position, Barrick was a project engineer for Loiederman Soltesz Associates in Frederick, Md. There, he was responsible for design work in Frederick County, Md. and West Virginia on residential, commercial, municipal and mixed-use development projects. He also performed design functions such as water, sewer and storm drainage design, grading, stormwater management and general site/parking design. 

Prior to joining Loiederman Soltesz Associates, Barrick served at Carroll Land Services in Westminster, Md., as a project engineer in the water and wastewater division and at EMS Environmental in Frederick, Md., as a project engineer, overseeing groundwater remediation projects.
