ARRO Joins East Coventry Township for Earth Day

On April 17, 2010, volunteers from ARRO and their families joined up with East Coventry Township employees, their families, and other interested residents to take part in the 3rd annual East Coventry Township-sponsored stream clean up.  Meeting at the Tow Path Park and being given garbage bags and instructions on where to go, everyone split into smaller groups and began cleaning up the trash along the Schuylkill River and in the park.  It was a beautiful day, and despite a few close encounters with some uncooperative wildlife, it only took a few hours of “clean-up camaraderie” for the group to collect enough trash to fill the back of a dump truck.

As with so many other Earth Day efforts, this was just another glowing example of how a few dedicated people can come together and make a difference with improving our environment. Thanks again to all those who participated!
