ARRO to Represent National Water Organization
PWEA Elects Director to the WEF House of Delegates

Lancaster, Pa. (July 9, 2008) ¬¬– ARRO, a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm with headquarters in Lancaster, announced today that Michael D. Sassaman, L.O. will represent the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) on the Water Environment Federation (WEF) House of Delegates. In his role, Sassaman will be responsible for communicating the positions and decisions of the PWEA to the WEF at the regional and national levels.

sassaman_michael.jpgWith more than 37 years of experience in operations and engineering consulting for wastewater collection and treatment systems, Sassaman has been actively involved in the association for more than 25 years. In his new role, Sassaman will work to support and further the mission of the PWEA to enhance the knowledge and abilities of Pennsylvania's wastewater professionals, promote sound water policies and promote public awareness of the need to protect water quality.

Sassaman’s three-year term as director will begin in October at the annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference in Chicago.  His past experience with the organization includes one term as president, four years as secretary treasurer and chairman of several committees. The PWEA is a member association of the WEF, an international not-for-profit technical and educational organization that works to preserve and enhance the global water environment.
