Lancaster, Pa. (July 21, 2009) – Lancaster-based ARRO, a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm, announced today that Catherine J. Cadwell received her certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute. Human resources professionals must pass an exam to complete the certification, demonstrating mastery of industry knowledge such as strategic management, workforce planning and employment, human resource development, total rewards, employee and labor relations, and risk management.

Cadwell joined ARRO in 2008 as human resources manager, and is based in the Limerick, Pa. office. Among other duties, Cadwell is responsible for the company-wide administration of salary, wage and benefits programs, payroll, performance evaluations, and recruiting.
Previously, she oversaw all aspects of human resources, licensing and compliance for Allied Mortgage Group, Inc., a private mortgage banking company. Cadwell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management with a dual concentration in Entrepreneurial Management and Accounting & Finance from Gettysburg College.
